Images of 2006-07 Art Club Events

Here are sample images from 2006-07 Middle School Art Club activities. Listed from top to bottom see..."pinch pots" (hand-building with clay), "paper mache mask-making," "cardboard loom construction and weaving," and "printmaking" (Styrofoam plate). Art Club welcomes new members year-round! Admission is FREE! Fund-raisers help support the cost of materials. We often seek donation or recycling opportunities to create art. We also strive to make a positive difference in our school and community through art. See "Art Club Open Invitation" Post on this blog. Meetings are at 3:05 p.m. on the last Thursday of each month in Mrs. Pierson's Middle School Art Room. Have fun, make friends, and create!

Taking Museum Requests...

Students enrolled in 7-8th grade art may request to attend an upcoming gallery tour of The Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art (Kansas City) or St. Louis Art Museum. Funds and time will allow for a trip to only one of these destinations on Friday, May 16th, 2008. Transportation will leave from the Middle School parking lot at exactly 7 a.m. and return to the same spot by 8 p.m. Students will bring a sack lunch and may bring extra cash for breakfast and dinner at inexpensive stops. Additional funding for the trip will be provided by art program fund-raising and the school. Please view a link to each museum located in "Mrs. Pierson's Favorite Links." Vote for the museum that you want to visit on the Poll at the bottom of Mrs. Pierson's Art Blog.
